At Charity Phones we are committed to the environment as well as good causes. So, when you buy any product* from us, we will offset the carbon footprint of that product for one year at no extra cost to you.
A typical mobile phone or similar product will use electricity generating 20Kg of CO2 per annum, and there are over 1 billion mobile phones on our planet (and rising). Carbon Offsetting is the method by which you can minimise your impact on the environment through global warming. For every one ton of CO2 your activities produce, you can enable one ton to be saved somewhere else in the world. This is done through projects such as planting trees, creating wind farms or investing in renewable energy projects throughout the world.
Charity Phones has partnered with COCO2, a UK based company, who are dedicated to reducing the impact of carbon emissions for both companies and consumers. As well as offsetting, you should try and reduce your carbon emissions to an unavoidable minimum. Once your carbon offsets equal your carbon output, you can call yourself "carbon neutral." COCO2 has compiled a directory of carbon neutral businesses and services so that you can support those that are also doing their bit for the environment.
